If all goes well, Aamir Khan and Deepika Padukone may get together to launch the Indian Badminton League (IBL), with Aamir as brand ambassador and Deepika as franchisee owner. According to a source, The IBL has approached the actors for their active participation. Sunil Gavaskar might also be approached.
A source reveals, "Aamir is known to be an avid badminton fan and has always encouraged Saina (Nehwal), while Deepika not only carries the famous Padukone surname but was a state-level player herself."
Badminton has always been very close to Deepika. The game runs in her blood, with her dad being one of the best players so far. He is now the adviser to the IBL governing council. Even her grandfather, Ramesh Padukone was thorough with the game and was the secretary of the Mysore Badminton Association for many years.
Meanwhile, the leggy lass is preparing very hard for her upcoming film 'Ram Leela', directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. The actress will be flaunting a 'desi avatar' and will wearing 'ghagra-choli', through out the film. She plays a Gujarati girl and is paired opposite Ranverr Singh.
This is one of the reasons why Deepika is seen decked up in traditional wear, quite often these days.
