The news of a Delhigirl being raped and now, who is battling for her life in a city hospital, came as a shock to the Bollywood megastar Salman Khan. Sharing his views on the kind of punishment these rapists deserve, Salman told, the culprits should be hanged till death.

"In my view, there should be a death sentence for all rapists. Such things have no role in our life. I feel disgusted after hearing such things. For me, this is a third grade crime. I also believe that there should be a norm that if a rapist goes to jail, he should be beaten till death," told the 46-year-old.

The brutal incident took place in the capital city on Sunday night, when the victim and her male friend boarded a bus to their way back home.

Salman further added, "The first thought which comes to the mind is – such people should be killed – but there are too many things which we have to follow. It is a shame that such a thing has happened, how can somebody commit such a heinous crime."

The actor is very upset about the recent incident and said; people should not tolerate such crime anymore.

"I think Indian society needs to be 'dabangg' (bold) in their approach. I recently read a news where a girl was being molested and people standing nearby were making videos on their phones. This is not the real India and I don't think if such incidents can ever happen in front of my eyes," he added. 

At the Big Star Entertainment Awards 2012, Deepika Padukone, while interacting with the media, cleared airs about her rumored fight with Anushka Sharma, besides talking about her forthcoming movie with Ranbir Kapoor, Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani.

Deepika Padukone's character in Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani is very real and close to her real self.

"Actually 'Yeh Jawani…' is very similar to me in person like Veronica was not. I think Veronica, as a character, as a person is very different from how I am personally but 'Yeh Jawani…' is very similar to how I am," the 27-year-old told.

Directed by Ayan Mukerji, Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani also stars Kalki Koechlin.

Talking about her tussle with actress Anushka Sharma, Deepika told, "There is no truth to this and I always wish her well."

It seems that, rumors were that both Deepika and Anushka have been fighting for the lead role opposite Salman Khan in Kick.

In the meantime, Anushka Sharma recently took a potshot at Deepika Padukone. She told, "There is no comparison between Deepika and me. Nothing links us. We do different kind of films. In fact she has done more films. I've been choosy. I have not picked up just about any role that came my way."

Giving a word to her peers, Anushka further added, "Stop throwing garbage at me since I don't throw garbage at you." 

Kangana Ranaut is all set to go de-glam for her forthcoming movie, 'Queen'. Here is the first look and Kangana looks very sweet and innocent.

The movie requires her to be natural and so, Kangana has been asked to use minimal make-up for the movie. Queen is directed by Vikas Bahl of Chillar Party fame.

It is heard that the director hasn't even hired a make-up artist for the slightest of make up touch ups.

A source updates, "Kangana, who is known to portray overtly sexy and glamorous looks, has been transformed completely for this movie. Her styling and make-up is minimalist. Vikas insisted that Kangana, who looks very pretty and vulnerable without make-up, should go natural."

But, for some parts where she will require applying make-up, Kangana will help herself.

The movie essays Kangana Ranaut as a simpleton who decides to go solo on her honeymoon after her wedding falls through. If sources are to be believed, Kangana's past experiences have been integrated into the script.

"The character is quirky whimsical emotional and volatile like Kangana. The line between the real Kangana and her character is so flimsy that Kangana many times ended up borrowing from her experiences to play the role," a source told.

Kangana Ranaut's small-town look in the early part of the movie is inspired by Jaya Bachchan in Hrishikesh Mukherjee's Guddi and Rani Mukherjee in Bunty Aur Babli. 

Shahrukh Khan and Katrina Kaif bagged the Best Romantic On-Screen Couple award at the Big Star Entertainment Awards in Mumbai. King Khan was admired for his chemistry with sexy diva Katrina Kaif.

In spite of winning a plethora of trophies in his two-decade career, bagging an award still excites Shahrukh Khan.

King Khan took to twitter and tweeted, "Got two awards, must admit, as many I get, the excitement is the same. Am so happy, want to work even harder. Awards to me are like candy to a kid."

At the Big Star Entertainment Awards, SRK won not one but two awards, Entertainer Of The Year and Best Romantic On-Screen Couple along with co-star Katrina Kaif, both for his latest film Jab Tak Hai Jaan.

"'Jab Tak Hai Jaan' will always be a special movie for me. I will always be thankful to Yash-ji. I get really excited with awards. No matter how many I have got, they have the same affect on me, like they did when I was new in the industry. I almost become like a kid in the candy store," told Shah Rukh.

"This was the first time I worked with her and see what happened! Katrina is a very hardworking girl and it was a pleasure working with her. And as far as romance is concern, I am the best one here," jibed Shah Rukh. 

This Christmas, Sonam Kapoor is all set to auction her designer clothes online for charity. Known for her uber cool fashion sense, Sonam made this statement on Saturday.

The actress has seemingly collaborated with friend and stylist Pernia Qureshi's online fashion boutique, Pernia's Pop-Up Shop. The proceeds from the auction will go towards Smile Foundation, an NGO which works to support poor children.

"Pernia and I wanted to do something for children this season. So we thought it would be great if I give like 50 pieces from my wardrobe and the proceeds go to Smile Foundation," Sonam said journalists.

Sonam's main motive behind this auction is to provide education to poor children.

"Pernia wanted to associate this with charity and I wanted to do something for education. This will go towards Smile Foundation to educate kids,"she told.

Previously too, Sonam has been involved in charitable acts. However, this is the first time she is doing something like this.

"Pernia and me really believe in this. It is a great idea for people to go and check it out. We are waiting for the traffic for all the social networking sites to come there," she told.

For many "Betrayal Is Survival", the tag line of Jacqueline Fernandez's Race 2, may seem a lot related to the Hindi film industry – reflecting the cut-throat competition and survival mantra. But, the Sri Lankan beauty tells hard work and honesty can do wonders.

"It is a very competitive industry. They say that if you want to survive here, you have to be cut-throat. But I don't see a need for that. Sometimes I feel that hard work works. If you want to sleep well at night it is better if you just be an honest person," Jacqueline told in an interview. Personally, she feels it is better to forgive and forget than brood and hold a grudge.

She further added, "I think betrayal is a part and parcel of life and I think we all have experienced it. But I am someone who doesn't believe in holding grudges. I am someone who forgives and forgets. I think it is important."

Born to a Sri Lankan father and Malaysian mother, Jacqueline was raised in Bahrain, and at the age of 14 was hosting a fitness show. She moved to Australiafor her college studies, and then returned to Sri Lanka, where she took up a reporting job.

The year 2006 turned to be a game-changer for her as she entered the Miss Sri Lanka beauty pageant, and won the crown. That set the stage for the Miss Universe contest at Los Angelesfor her. She didn't make it to the finals, but her visibility drew and she made her entry into Bollywood.

Though her debut movie Aladin opposite Riteish Deshmukh failed to click at the box office, the movie landed her roles in Housefull 2, Murder 2 and now Race 2.

"It is a little bit difficult when you have come from outside. I feel that the industry embraces people who are from the industry faster and with wider arms. But once you have proved yourself, it is easier for them to accept you," indicating that creating a place for herself was not easy.

"I remember when Aladin didn't do well, I felt a little bit shunned, because it is so difficult to get a second chance especially if you are not from the group. You put in twice the effort and start again," tells Jacqueline.

The actress seems to be wary of making friends in the industry even though she has spent quite some time here.

"I think at the end of the day, these are all people you have to work with. Sometimes it is difficult because you don't want to cross that line between professionalism and friendship. Getting along with co-stars is important, but when it comes to having real friends I don't go looking for them in the film industry," she told.

With two successful movies Murder 2 and Housefull 2 in her kitty, Jacqueline views the achievement as a huge responsibility.

"It (success) just gives you more responsibility. I guess it makes you work harder. It doesn't change you as a person; it changes the surrounding and scenario and gives a lot more responsibility," she told.

Directed by the duo Abbas-Mustan, Race 2 also stars Anil Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan, John Abraham, Deepika Padukone and Ameesha Patel. The film is slated for release on January 25th 2013.
